Top picks: A series of new products at “Vision” and “Electronica”
Framos GmbH was once again represented as an exhibitor at the “Vision” trade show in Stuttgart and the “Electronica” trade show in Munich in November of this year. The following highlights were introduced: We presented the first Sony CMOS sensor. It features very high light sensitivity which was only known in industrial CCD sensors to date. As a result, the sensor is suitable for various areas of application such as security and surveillance equipment (Please contact us for detailed informations). In addition, we introduced an HDTV sensor from Thomson – also based on CMOS technology – which is currently unique in the market with 2 megapixel resolution and an image rate of up to 90 images per second. One major highlight in the camera area is the 12 megapixel Teli camera, with a 4x greater frame rate than comparable products currently on the market. Users involved in quality assurance, bond inspection, pick and place inspection as well as display inspection were extremely interested in the camera equipped with a CMOS sensor with 25 images per second at full resolution. The sensor was developed especially for this camera. Based on the proven Lu/LW series, Lumenera also introduced a new camera version with GigE interface. The advantage of these cameras is that they use the same API as the USB 2.0 models. This allows the control software and SDKs to be used for both interfaces. Please visit the Framos website for a detailed overview of the exhibited products and additional highlights. The newly introduced “camera finder” is also available to assist you with the selection of suitable camera components from our site. Framos would like to thank all our visitors for their interest. Our Framos team is already looking forward to welcoming you at Vision from November 3 through 5, 2009. Framos will once again organise an imaging forum in Munich on September 17 and 18 of next year. Details will be released shortly.
