The IMX250MZR image sensor from Sony Semiconductor has received the "inVISION Top Innovation Award" 2019. The prize, which has been awarded by the trade journal inVISION since 2015, honors ten products each year that have proven to be particularly trend-setting or innovative. Sony’s IMX250 is the first sensor with an on-chip polarizer to minimize system complexity and improve extinction ratio and incident angle dependence.
For the first time, the popular FRAMOS hands-on training “Characterization of a CMOS camera” will be held in the UK, London on March 26 and 27, 2019. In this practical two day course, the renowned expert Prof. Dr. Albert Theuwissen will share his deep knowledge of image sensors with technical imaging engineers involved in solid-state sensor measurements.
Leading global imaging provider FRAMOS will be presenting its image sensor portfolio at the Image Sensors Europe Conference in London, UK, March 13-14, 2019. FRAMOS will be providing information on the latest advances in sensor technology and presenting the latest models from Sony Semiconductor and ON Semiconductor. Pyxalis, FRAMOS’ partner for custom sensors, will also show its portfolio at the venue.
Sony Semiconductor Solutions recently launched its new IMX335 image sensor for security applications and select industrial and factory automation type applications. Available from global imaging expert FRAMOS, the 1/2.8" imager offers a resolution of 5 megapixels at a pixel size of 2µm. This sensor has a back side illuminated pixel architecture providing high sensitivity with frame rates of up to 60 frames per second through a MIPI interface which provides excellent image quality and speed needed for embedded vision integration.
