The "embedded world" in Nuremberg is the leading international trade fair for embedded systems and THE industry meeting place for developers and decision-makers of embedded solutions. Image processing has been represented for many years with its own areaand has grown again in 2019 with more focus on Embedded Vision. The FRAMOS team of experts presented its embedded vision portfolio at this show. Here is an overview of the highlights from the fields of image sensors, displays, optics, 3D solutions, modules and processing that was captured while at the trade fair.
Leading global imaging provider FRAMOS® will be presenting its imaging and embedded vision portfolio at the Vision Show in Stuttgart, Germany, November 6-8, 2018. FRAMOS will show its broad portfolio and services to enable companies to incorporate vision into their applications. FRAMOS will also highlight the launch of their ecosystem of products designed for a modularized approach to Embedded Vision.
The FRAMOS® engineering team shares a Python sample script on GitHub that works directly with multiple Intel® RealSense™ cameras to create bounding boxes for any kind of item. The Python script supports multi-cam 3D measurements to create automated logistic and postal solutions.
Global imaging provider FRAMOS® will be presenting its embedded vision portfolio including Intel®’s RealSense™ Technology at the Embedded Vision Summit. The industry leading event showcases computer vision innovations and will take place May 22-24, in Santa Clara, California.
At the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference & Exhibition, taking place on May 16th at the Milton Keyes Arena, FRAMOS® will present its broad imaging portfolio for intelligent vision, a technical expert talk on Embedded Vision and LIVE demonstrations of the Intel® RealSense™ Technology Suite and the new 25GigE interface standard.
In cooperation with the CDTM institute of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), FRAMOS® has developed an innovative wearable using real-time 3D technology to support visually impaired people in daily life. The glasses are equipped with the latest Intel® RealSense™ stereo cameras, intelligent algorithms translate the visual impression into haptic and audio information.
ON Semiconductor, a global leader in image sensor technology, has recently announced its new AR0430 CMOS digital image sensor. This device, available from the global imaging expert FRAMOS, combines classic 2D video imaging and 3D image recognition on a single sensor. ON Semiconductor’s low-cost depth solution empowers both innovative industrial and consumer end-product applications with cutting edge 3D features like cameras for IoT, wearables, security, and AR/VR/MR.
Image processing is one of the key technologies in automation and digitization. With the focus on dimensioning, classification and sorting intelligence, imaging specialist FRAMOS will exhibit its range of logistics technologies and products in hall 3 / booth A08 at the LogiMAT trade fair in Stuttgart from 13th to 15th March. FRAMOS will showcase a new generation of cognitive systems powered by Intel®’s RealSense™ Technology demonstrating various logistics applications.
The Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics at the University of Bremen (BIBA), in collaboration with its development partners BLG Handelslogistik, Schulz Systemtechnik, and FRAMOS®, is conducting research on the automated unloading of standard 40-foot containers, with the project, “Interactive Robotic System for Unloading of Sea Containers” (IRiS). In the future, intelligent robots will carry out this difficult and predominantly manual task, automatically.
