ON Semiconductor has announced to discontinuing the production of CCD image sensors. Last time buy date will be March 18, 2020. All CCD Sensors (KAI, KAF, KAE, KLI, KAC) by ON Semiconductor are impacted by this end-of-life. The former Kodak CCD facility in Rochester, US, will then cease operations in June 2020. The FRAMOS sensor experts are available to advise and support for any questions regarding last orders, replacement options and any sensor evaluations.
ON Semiconductor has expanded its high-performance XGS family of Global Shutter CMOS image sensors with two new models; the XGS 9400 and the XGS 8000. These devices provide resolutions of 9.4 and 8.8 Megapixels respectively in a compact package, achieving high-speed performance in a single form factor. Both models contain a rich feature set and are particularly suited for integration into 29 x 29 mm2-cameras for Machine Vision, ITS, Security, Medical and Scientific applications.

Leading sensor manufacturer, ON Semiconductor, has launched the AR0221 “Starlight” imager providing excellent image quality for security and surveillance applications. The AR0221 Rolling Shutter sensor is optimized for both low light and challenging high dynamic range scene performance with a 4.2m BSI pixel and an Advanced Line-Interleaved HDR. The AR0221 is available from global imaging expert FRAMOS.

Sony Semiconductor Solutions recently launched its new IMX335 image sensor for security applications and select industrial and factory automation type applications. Available from global imaging expert FRAMOS, the 1/2.8" imager offers a resolution of 5 megapixels at a pixel size of 2µm. This sensor has a back side illuminated pixel architecture providing high sensitivity with frame rates of up to 60 frames per second through a MIPI interface which provides excellent image quality and speed needed for embedded vision integration.
