FRAMOS, a global custom vision solutions and component supplier, today announced a new integration supporting SLVS-EC – Sony’s next-gen data interface – natively on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. This implementation is based on an existing IMX530 FRAMOS Sensor Module (FSM) with a 4th Generation SONY Pregius Global Shutter sensor and provides a reference implementation for customers looking to operate this 24 MP sensor module over an SLVS-EC interface on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier system on module (SOM) streaming at 54 fps.
FRAMOS‘s SLVS-EC RX IP Core Development Kit comes with comprehensive support for those looking to connect with sensors using the SLVS-EC interface. This new, scalable, 2.0 version SLVS-EC high-speed interface supports a higher data rate for all 8 lanes at 5 Gbps throughput per lane, up from the previous 2.5Gbps speeds.
Sony Semiconductor Solutions has recently upgraded its portfolio of image sensors for high-end Machine Vision and ITS applications. The 2nd generation CMOS Global Shutter sensors with Pregius™ technology, the IMX387, IMX367 and IMX342, come with resolutions between 16 and 31 Megapixels, speeds up to 56fps at full resolution and equipped with Sony’s SLVS-EC high-speed interface running up to 19Gbps. The three share a pixel pitch of 3.45µm, and provide excellent performance and high sensitivity.
