Leading global imaging provider FRAMOS will be presenting the full line of new CMOS sensors from SONY at North America’s largest vision and imaging trade show, the Vision Show in Boston, Massachusetts, May 3-5, 2016.
Gold Sponsor FRAMOS will educate current and potential users about the latest advances in machine vision and provide practical solutions to industry-specific challenges at Booth 1008. Based on the long-term partnership with sensor manufacturer Sony, FRAMOS will showcase the latest CMOS sensors. Users can explore the specific sensor differences on demo stations working with IMX174/249, IMX253/255 and up to IMX25/252 and IMX 264/265 with different camera offerings from several camera suppliers.
Sebastien Dignard, President of FRAMOS Technologies in Ottawa outlines: “Another highlight at FRAMOS’ booth will be the presentation of the new SMARTEK GCU line that provides USB 3.0 and GigE Vision interfaces in a robust miniature housing. Living the concept of seamless integration, SMARTEK’s GCU supports standardized connectivity with C-Mount, Power over Ethernet, General Purpose IO’s and several camera mounting screw ports. Enhanced processing capabilities and a user centric customization concept allows the camera series to quickly and efficiently adapt to almost every requirement.”
The booth will also include a sampling of the Sony VIS block camera solutions including 4K technology as well as the latest imaging solutions from XIMEA, SVS Vistek, Datalogic, Videology, Lumenera, and Sunex. Proving their own development expertise, FRAMOS presents its in-house-developed high-precision Optical Tracking System (OTS) for 3D positional recognition of objects in the field of life sciences and robotic applications. The demo station shows how the technology enables conventional 2D positional recognition techniques to be upgraded to 3D applications and how to gain more extensive diagnostic data while using known devices by easily upgrading them. The FRAMOS team of image processing experts will present their range of components and solutions at booth #1008 and will provide extensive support in both selecting products and configuring applications for industry-specific challenges.
