Description

The Sony IMX335LQN-C is a high-performance CMOS image sensor from the Sony STARVIS series, designed for surveillance, factory automation (FA), and industrial camera applications. With a diagonal size of 6.52 mm (Type 1/2.8 inch) and 5.14 million effective pixels, this sensor offers excellent image quality in a range of lighting conditions. The IMX335LQN-C leverages Sony’s Exmor R back-illuminated technology, which enhances sensitivity and reduces noise, making it ideal for low-light applications such as nighttime surveillance or industrial monitoring.

This sensor features a resolution of 2616 x 1964 pixels with a pixel size of 2 x 2 μm, delivering high-definition image capture. The IMX335LQN-C utilizes RGB primary color mosaic filters for accurate color reproduction, making it suitable for applications where true-to-life imaging is essential. It operates with an electronic shutter with variable charge-integration time, enabling precise control over exposure and ensuring high-quality image capture even in dynamic lighting conditions. The sensor supports up to 60 frames per second (fps), allowing for real-time, high-speed imaging.

Key features of the IMX335LQN-C include:

  • 5.14 MP resolution (2616 x 1964)
  • 2 x 2 μm pixel size for high sensitivity and detailed imaging
  • Electronic shutter with variable charge-integration time
  • High-speed frame rate of 60 fps for real-time imaging
  • Exmor R technology for superior low-light performance
  • Triple power supply (2.9V, 1.2V, 1.8V) for efficient power consumption
  • MIPI interface for fast data transmission
  • CSP 88-pin package for compact and reliable integration

The IMX335LQN-C is particularly well-suited for surveillance cameras, factory automation, and industrial cameras, where high sensitivity and image clarity are essential. The sensor’s advanced Exmor R technology ensures clear, detailed images in low-light or night-time environments, making it perfect for capturing high-quality footage in security or industrial settings. Its high frame rate and electronic shutter allow for smooth video capture and accurate imaging, even in fast-moving scenes.

The sensor’s compact pixel size of 2 x 2 μm enhances light-gathering capabilities, delivering high-quality images even in dimly lit environments. The IMX335LQN-C’s MIPI interface enables fast and reliable data transmission, facilitating easy integration into high-performance imaging systems. The CSP 88-pin package adds durability and flexibility, making it suitable for use in space-constrained designs where long-term reliability is critical.

The Sony IMX335LQN-C offers a powerful combination of high resolution, advanced Exmor R technology, and excellent low-light imaging, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of security, industrial, and automation applications. Whether deployed in surveillance systems, factory monitoring, or industrial inspection cameras, this sensor provides the performance, sensitivity, and reliability needed for modern imaging systems.
