Description

The Sony IMX411AQR-C is an ultra-high-resolution CMOS image sensor designed for demanding imaging applications that require extreme detail and accuracy. With a diagonal size of 66.7 mm (Type 4.2) and an effective resolution of 151.4 megapixels, this sensor is ideal for aerial photography, large-area surveillance, industrial inspection, and digital archiving. Its square pixel array delivers a resolution of 14208 x 10656 pixels, enabling the capture of highly detailed images for applications that demand precision across large fields of view.

The IMX411AQR-C sensor supports 16-bit digital output, ensuring exceptional image quality with a wide dynamic range. This high bit depth allows the sensor to capture subtle gradations in color and brightness, making it particularly suited for applications where image fidelity is critical. Despite its massive resolution, the sensor can read out the full 151 MP at a speed of 2.0 frames per second (fps) in still picture mode, providing a balance between high-resolution capture and data throughput.

In addition to still photography, the IMX411AQR-C can operate at 4 fps with 12-bit output for applications that require faster frame rates. This capability makes it suitable for large-area surveillance and other dynamic imaging tasks where both high resolution and moderate speed are essential. The sensor's ability to capture large amounts of detail while maintaining performance ensures that it meets the needs of diverse industries, from aerial imaging to detailed inspection systems.

The IMX411AQR-C features a rolling shutter architecture, which is effective for applications that prioritize high resolution over the motion artifact suppression provided by global shutters. Its rolling shutter design helps minimize production costs while maintaining excellent image quality, making it an optimal choice for applications where stationary or slow-moving objects are imaged with precision.

With a pixel size of 3.76 x 3.76 µm, the IMX411AQR-C ensures that each pixel captures ample light, contributing to high sensitivity and low noise performance. This is particularly beneficial in outdoor environments or other scenarios where lighting may vary, such as aerial photography or industrial inspection, allowing for clear and sharp images even in less-than-ideal lighting conditions.

The sensor is equipped with a high-speed SLVS-EC interface, which allows for fast data transfer and efficient handling of the large amounts of data generated by such a high-resolution sensor. This interface ensures smooth transmission of image data, making the IMX411AQR-C suitable for real-time imaging applications that require rapid data throughput, such as live aerial surveillance or real-time inspection systems.

Housed in a LGA package with 540 pins, the IMX411AQR-C is designed for easy integration into high-end imaging systems. Its robust construction ensures reliability and long-term performance, even in demanding environments. Whether used for detailed landscape photography, large-area monitoring, or archival work, this sensor provides the precision and image quality required for professional applications.

Overall, the Sony IMX411AQR-C stands out as one of the most powerful image sensors on the market, offering unparalleled resolution and performance for a wide range of industrial and professional imaging needs. Its combination of 151.4 MP resolution, 16-bit output, and high-speed data handling makes it a top choice for applications that demand the highest levels of detail and accuracy.
