The Spresense mainboard, camera board, and the extension board are now included as a package. Each component is different and can now be purchased together.
This compact 5MP camera board has a color Sony CMOS sensor with a 5.11MP, 2608 (H) x 1960 (V) resolution and places it on a compact board measuring 24.0mm x 25.0mm. It can be directly plugged into the Spresense main board with a ribbon cable and outputs in Y/C RGB RAW and JPEG video formats over an 8-bit parallel data interface. Command and control are done through an I2C bus. This board includes a build in fixed focus lens that has a 78° FOV with an f/2.0 aperture and a built in IR-cut filter for more accurate color representation.
This extension board connects with the CXD5602PWBMAIN1 main board and provides Arduino Shield based connectors, SD card slot, 4 analog/8 digital microphone header and a headphone jack. This main board includes both the Sony CXD5247GF and the CXD5602GG processor chips and include an on-board GPS chip antenna, a camera interface, USB based 0debug interface and a 26-pin extension connector.
Several add-ons can be made or purchased to support additional features like LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth BT/BTE and image sensors.
