FRAMOS Image Processing Solutions: Ensuring Quality and Monitoring Production in Photonics
With a deep knowledge from imaging sensors to vision systems, global imaging provider FRAMOS will showcase its innovative portfolio of image processing components, system solutions and related engineering services for measuring and testing technology, industrial engineering, optics, medical technology and electronics at SPIE Photonics West 2017 – the leading American conference and show for the laser, optoelectronics and photonics sector – San Francisco, January 28 – February 2.
FRAMOS will be in booth #5554 presenting broad range of components, solutions support in both selecting products and configuring applications for industry-specific challenges.
The world’s largest sensor provider and technology leader Sony is co-exhibiting at the FRAMOS booth and will show their latest imaging sensors based on the Exmor technology for applications in need of high resolution, high-speed and sensitivity. The Pregius line of sensors have a global shutter, low-noise design (both fixed pattern and random) based on the Sony CCD technology. They also feature high picture quality, increased speed and sensitivity as well as low dark current noise. Discussions will also be had about the upcoming release of Sony’s 3rd generation Pregius line of sensors.
In addition to Sony, camera manufacturer SMARTEK Vision, will also be co-exhibiting at FRAMOS booth. Smartek will provide their newest camera line, the ‘twenty-nine’ in an onsite demo. This new camera line has GigE and USB3 versions which include a new high-speed sensor front-end enclosed in a miniature housing. This camera features standardized connectivity, enhanced processing capabilities and a flexible customization concept with cutting-edge CMOS sensors that range from global shutters to backside illumination. With many years of experience in designing industrial cameras, SMARTEK provides support to customers with application-specific customizations to integrate the cameras into their unique applications.
The high-performance strobe controllers of the HPSC series round out the SMARTEK portfolio to be exhibited in San Francisco and will include an onsite demo that will demonstrate its capabilities. SMARTEK Strobe Controllers are designed for industrial imaging applications where fast moving objects need to be captured with minimal image blur. These applications have a need for high powered LEDs that required specialized controllers. The SMARTEK HPSC reduces the thermal effects for the LEDs, allowing for a safe exploitation of these illumination devices beyond their standard mode of operation.
The booth will also include a sampling of the Sony VIS block camera solutions including 4K technology as well as the latest imaging solutions from XIMEA, Lumenera, and Sunex.
